The lightweight, retractable cord extends out and automatically retracts to allow more freedom for owners and dogs. Unique Break and Lock System ensures pet safety. Models extend to 16 and are useful for dogs up to 110 pounds (depending on model) .

The brake (1) and the locking mechanism (2) are completely separate.
